Chilean rapper Ana Tijoux delivers once again with traditional Boom Bap beats and those signature silver-tongued flows we’ve come to love.

Ana kicked off her career back in the late 90’s, diving headfirst into the Boom-Bap movement with Makiza. What’s remarkable? She’s stayed refreshingly consistent with her rap game and overall style presentation.
While other rappers still in the scene have either given in to trendy sounds or gotten stuck in their original lane (frustratingly so), Tijoux has evolved naturally. Her style grows with the times, weaving in fluctuating production themes and tackling whatever’s happening in the world right now.
Her previous album, Vida, echoed that whole sentiment of staying true to your nature. But nothing quite channels that strong late 90’s rap persona like her latest single "Desapego."
The track carries this nonchalant, confident synth groove—plus an infectious drum loop you’d totally find buried in those old VIBE magazine archives. Tijoux spits as charismatically as ever, no question about it.

It’s the perfect teaser for her upcoming EP 97, dropping later this spring on March 12th. Can’t wait, honestly.
You can stream "Desapego" right now on all DSP’s and connect with Ana through Instagram, Twitter (currently known as X), and Facebook.
