Lead songwriter Luke shares some insights about this vibrant piece: “I think The Avenue was a big step for the band in terms of songwriting. We usually stick to the classic song structure. We didn’t start writing the song thinking we’d create such a cinematic piece but everything just fell into place, it was one of those songs that wrote itself. I think when we finished writing it we said to ourselves that we’d never written a song like it. The avenue feels like a matured version of our sound while maintaining much of the same themes as our previous releases.”
