Omellette Releases Enchanting Lunar Tribute | New Indie Moon Song

Omellette has announced his new single, "Moon". The track marks another step forward for the artist who balances his solo work with his role as the vocalist for sun-kissed indie band TEZ.

Self-described as a "bedroom instrumentalist," Omellette’s upcoming release is scheduled to drop May 15 via Mahogany Songs. His gentle, humble vocals float atop the rich, solid indie arrangement that makes "Moon" stand out as the second offering from his forthcoming solo EP.

Interestingly enough, "Moon" began its journey as a simple "voice note that emerged from a freestyle" but evolved into something much more profound. It was actually the first track completed for his upcoming album—funny how creative processes sometimes work backwards like that!

The song delves into "the quiet struggle of existing in a life that doesn’t feel fully yours, questioning what we hold on to and why." In Omelette’s own words: "It wrestles with the pull between comfort and truth, the visible and invisible forces that guide us, and hanging in there and being a support for others."

Omellette didn’t craft this sonic journey alone. "Moon" features contributions from André Vasconcellos handling bass duties, Fernando Moreno behind the drums, Josué Gonzalez on piano, and Vigilance Brandon adding trumpet flourishes that really tie the composition together.
